Julia Heuer, born in Germany’s Black Forest, began her creative journey studying textile design at the Royal Academy of Arts in Stuttgart and later at the Danish Design School. After graduating, she moved to St. Gallen, Switzerland, where she lived and worked for several years at the renowned textile company Jakob Schlaepfer. It was there that she honed her expertise in print design, creating textiles that were supplied to prestigious fashion houses such as Dior, Comme des Garçons, and Vivienne Westwood — an experience that deeply shaped her unique aesthetic. In 2015, when Julia won the Swiss Design Award with the collection she crafted alongside her day job, she realized: her work truly resonated with people.
Driven by a desire to merge fashion and art, Julia Heuer eventually moved to Paris to establish her eponymous label. Inspired by her background in textile design and her years of experience collaborating with the world’s leading fashion houses, her vision is to create artisanal pieces that transcend traditional boundaries. Her designs evoke both nostalgia and contemporary spirit — somewhere between the Pina Colada song, Prince, 2000s R’n’B, and Joni Mitchell. Every print is designed in-house by Julia herself, adding a personal and distinctive touch to each piece, ensuring her label stands out with authenticity, individuality, and charm. Today, Julia lives and creates in Paris, where her vision continues to evolve.
