ENGLISH VERSION

 In the beginning, there was 079 —Switzerland’s very first mobile prefix. The number that set everything in motion. Today, those digits are firmly part of Swiss identity.

Between 2023 and 2025, the iconic numbers made a comeback in a new form. What started as a simple hoodie for Swisscom employees grew into a creative stage that quickly drew attention — from Zurich’s Langstrasse to international runways.

Shaped by a growing group of creatives from across Swiss pop culture but active all over the world — the 079 People. Once again, 079 created connection, just like it did back then.

079 showcased fashion as a language of the present. With Ottolinger, the initiative presented Swiss creativity on an international level at Paris Fashion Week. Screen-print artist Martin Schlegel created limited-edition silk scarves — modern visuals, Swiss craftsmanship, each piece one of a kind. Designer Julia Heuer translated the imagery of Appenzell folk art into vibrant prints, bridging tradition with contemporary textile design. Together with rapper Stress, a tracksuit was created featuring an embroidered lion inspired by St. Gallen lace — a piece merging urban culture with Swiss artisanship. In parallel, a young creative collective led by designer Hülya Solakaç developed several collections of their own.

The 079 philosophy brought together things that don’t obviously belong together: Swiss heritage and avant-garde, street and function, wit and wow.
